“Victorian” Pansy
“Victorian” Pansy plants produce classical-looking flowers with vibrant and contrasting colors. Their flowers are larger than common violas. Unfolded pansy flowers are roughly 2-3” in diameter. Their colors are the most striking feature which will surely catch your attention. These plants are a great additional to any sitting area which needs a touch of “seasonal beauty” added. Pansy flowers are attention grabbers!

When to expect flowers
Flowering will start in spring and last into summer. If prolonged hot days arrive, the plant may finish its lifecycle early. We’ve found this flowering plant performs exceptionally well during the Minnesota summers with the plant continuing flowering into the fall. One 3 gallon grow bag can easily produce 50+ flowers during its lifecycle in Minnesota.
Growth habit
“Victorian” pansy plants will produce multiple flowers per plant resulting in a dense mat of flowers when grown in MEG’s edible grow bags. Once plants are established, flowers are produced consistently throughout the growing season.
Basic care information for “Victorian” Pansy plants
Thoroughly saturate the grow bag with water in the morning before the heat of the day arrives. If daytime highs are consistently above 70F, your plant will need to be watered daily. If below 70F, check the grow bag frequently by using the finger method described on the bag tag.
Pinch off or cut old flowers.
*These plants can take a light frost. If you’d like to play it safe though, the plants may be easily moved indoors overnight.
